Monroe Claiborne Lillard (b. 1843; Williamson County, TN) was the youngest child of John D. Lillard and Rachel Jarrell. He married Cynthia A. Biggers either in December 1863 or January 1864 in Williamson County, TN. Monroe and Cynthia had one child, Sarah Lillard (b. 1864).
Cynthia apparently died in 1868 (perhaps in another childbirth?). Monroe remarried on November 2, 1870 in Williamson County, TN to Mary Hay. At this time, no children are known from this second union.
Monroe seems to have died in 1875, but a record I found indicates a burial in 1934. Not knowing my TN geography especially well, I wonder whether his grave might not have been moved due to flooding from the TVA project.
