Jesse Watson Lillard (1854-1941)

Jesse Watson Lillard was born on April 28, 1854 in Williamson County, TN.  According to a genealogy posting by Janet Wamble, Jesse Watson was the was the son of Richard M. Lillard and Charlotte R. (Owen) Lillard.  He married Martha "Mattie" Cassandra Porter on August 29, 1875 in Sharp County, AR.  Between them, Jesse Watson and Mattie had a brood:  James Monroe Lillard, Minnie Everett (Lillard) Perkins, Richard Lillard, Peter Owen Lillard, Lula Lenora (Lillard) McMullin, John Watson Lillard, Thomas F. Lillard, Luther Carroll Lillard, William David Lillard, Nettie Meadows (Lillard) Davis, and Ina Mae (Lillard) Young Rickman. According to one genealogical account, it seems that Jesse Watson and Mattie moved around a bit.  It lists their residence in 1880 as Richwoods, Sharp County, AR...by 1910 he was in Tyronza in Poinsett County, AR...and he died on January 20, 1941 in Ravenden Springs, Randolph County, AR.  He was my great-great grandfather.
